Cuba Cruises on Norwegian Sun Open for Booking

Norwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for sailings to Cuba on the Norwegian Sun. The Norwegian Sun will homeport in Port Canaveral starting in May 2018 and will to guests looking to explore the art, culture and history that abounds in Cuba.

Norwegian Sun’s new all-inclusive four-day cruises to Cuba will depart Port Canaveral each Monday, beginning May 7, 2018, and feature a call on Key West, Florida on Tuesdays, followed by an early morning arrival to Cuba’s capital city of Havana on Wednesday, allowing guests the opportunity to experience a full day and night of exploration.

Norwegian Sun’s new cruises to Cuba will provide guests with an extensive cultural immersion, with the chance to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and incredible history of Cuba, along with the warmth and friendliness of the Cuban people during OFAC-compliant* shore excursions. By day, guests can take in the sites of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in an American classic car; gaze at the artistic expressions of some of Cuba’s most famed photographers and painters at the Fabrica de Arte Cubano and much more. By night, guests can sip and savor a ‘Cuba Libre’ at the legendary Tropicana Cabaret amidst a dazzling display of pageantry, electrifying music and more at the famed nightclub that was once frequented by icons like Nat King Cole, Josephine Baker, Cheo Feliciano and Rita Montaner, among others. Ernest Hemingway enthusiasts will revel in Norwegian Sun’s new itinerary, and can follow the footsteps of the famed author, visiting The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West’s historic Old Town District and Finca Vigía in the small, working-class town of San Francisco de Paula in Cuba.

Before her arrival in Port Canaeral, Norwegian Sun will undergo a two-and-a-half week dry dock in April 2018 as a part of the Norwegian Edge™, the brand’s revitalization program encompassing the entire guest experience.
