Last week I had the pleasure to cruise on Carnival Sunrise’s first sailing from her Fall/Winter homeport of Port Everglades, Florida. The 101,509 GRT ship underwent a $200 million transformation in early 2019 and the improvements are noticeable throughout. Carnival Triumph to Become Carnival Sunrise After $200 Million Refit

Carnival Cruise Line announced plans to makeover the Carnival Triumph with a $200-Million dry dock, that will transform the 19 year old ship with venues that are found on their most recent cruise ships. At the completion of the dry dock, the ship will be renamed Carnival Sunrise and will be the second ship in Carnival’s Sunshine Class.
