After many years cloaked in secrecy under the Project Leonardo moniker, Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled their latest new cruise ship Norwegian Prima.

Wide Open Spaces

After almost a decade of building their Breakaway and Breakaway Plus class ships, NCL has changed course and decided to go smaller with their new Prima Class ships. While smaller in size, Prima class ships are all about the wide-open spaces. Ocean Boulevard, located on Deck 8, features the Oceanwalk glass bridge, swim to the horizon in one of two infinity pools and watch the world go by at Infinity Beach, warm up on cool nights with friends around the firepit at the Indulge Outdoor Lounge, go all-in on some amazing food options at the Indulge Food Hall or enjoy dining with a view from one of the Ocean Boulevard seaside restaurants.

Culinary Choices

The Indulge Food Hall is all about bringing choice to cruisers in a casual atmosphere that also evokes a sense of community. There are eleven different spots each serving a specialized menu of signature items. Guest can dine inside and watch the action at high-top seats, spread out at a table or take their food to go and enjoy on the Indulge Outdoor Lounge. Norwegian has also announced that three Restaurants will be coming to Ocean Boulevard, each with waterside seating. Onda by Scarpetta, which debuted on Norwegian Encore in 2019, will showcase the rich and bold flavors of modern Italian eatery. Los Lobos, the Brand’s premium Mexican restaurant, returns on Norwegian Prima to boast traditional Mexican flavors with modern flair set in a contemporary atmosphere. Local Bar & Grill set in an upscale beach club atmosphere will showcase live music where guests can relax and enjoy cocktails and classic Americana cuisine.

The Haven of Luxury

For guests seeking the ultimate in luxury cruising, NCL has completely reimagined The Haven onboard Norwegian Prima, which includes personal concierge and butler service in the most incredible suite accommodations also boasts many exclusive amenities. Guests of The Haven never need to venture too far to enjoy a private Sundeck with its own infinity pool, hot tub, sauna & cold room and the most comfortable lounging areas. Enjoy exclusive menus throughout the day from the two private restaurants, relax with a drink from one of the two bars and socialize or just unwind at The Haven Lounge.

Accommodations for Everyone

The Haven offers several accommodation choices, each richly appointed with prime furnishings and luxurious bathrooms, with some offering large balconies featuring private hot tubs. Even if The Haven is beyond your reach, the ship’s staterooms and suites have been thoughtfully designed with contemporary finishes and a bright color palate to provide the most comfort and serenity. As with many of Norwegian’s most recent ships, single travelers will love the efficiently designed studio staterooms with access to the Studio Lounge, great for mingling and making new friends. Within each room category ranging from Interior, Oceanview, Balcony, Club Balcony & Suite are varying attributes allowing guests to select the perfect room location.

Inaugural Season

Norwegian Prima will begin sailing in the Summer of 2022 with itineraries in Northern Europe, before repositioning to the United States with a series of debuts from New York City, Galveston, Texas and Miami, Florida before arriving at her winter home of Port Canaveral. In March 2023, she’ll transition back to New York, then onto Northern Europe for the Summer. Bookings are now open for the all of these introductory itineraries.
