With the first ship of Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Prima class being readied for launch in 2022, a second, Norwegian Viva, has been announced, that captures most of the essence of her sister, including all of the newly designed elements specific to this class. While smaller than the most recent Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ship classes, Prima class ships are all about the wide-open spaces.

Ocean Boulevard

Ocean Boulevard, located on Deck 8, features the Oceanwalk glass bridge, swim to the horizon in one of two infinity pools and watch the world go by at Infinity Beach, warm up on cool nights with friends around the firepit at the Indulge Outdoor Lounge, go all-in on some amazing food options at the Indulge Food Hall or enjoy dining with a view from one of the Ocean Boulevard seaside restaurants.

The Haven

For guests seeking the ultimate in luxury cruising, the completely reimagined Haven onboard Norwegian Viva which includes personal concierge and butler service in the most incredible suite accommodations, also boasts many exclusive amenities. Guests of The Haven never need to venture too far to enjoy a private Sundeck with its own infinity pool, hot tub, sauna & cold room and the most comfortable lounging areas. Enjoy exclusive menus throughout the day from the private restaurant, relax with a drink from one of the two bars and socialize or just unwind at The Haven Lounge.

Suites & Staterooms

The Haven offers several accommodation choices, each richly appointed with prime furnishings and luxurious bathrooms, with some offering large balconies featuring private hot tubs. Even if The Haven is beyond your reach, the ship’s staterooms and suites have been thoughtfully designed with contemporary finishes and a bright color palate to provide the most comfort and serenity. As with many of Norwegian Cruise Line’s most recent ships, single travelers will love the efficiently designed studio staterooms with access to the Studio Lounge, great for mingling and making new friends. Within each room category ranging from Interior, Oceanview, Balcony, Club Balcony & Suite are varying attributes allowing guests to select the perfect room location.

Thrills

Get your speed on with the return of go-kart racing on a three-level track featuring a longer straightaway and sharp twists and turns as riders pass through the ship’s funnel reaching speeds up to 50mph at Viva Speedway. After that exhilaration, the Viva Speedway Bar is the spot to cool down with a drink and share experiences with other racers.

Continuing the need for speed, head down 10 stories on The Drop, a freefall dry slide suspended off the side of the ship and plunging riders into a super-fast G-force frenzy. On the other side, The Rush, a pair of dry slides, gives guests the chance to go head-to-head as they race down to the bottom.

Activities

TeeTime elevates the mini-golf experience with an over the top nine-hole course featuring the glitz of a Vegas backdrop. Fancy a game of darts, The Bull’s Eye, takes the classic game and elevates it with video tracking and an instant replay feature. If virtual gaming is more your thing, the Galaxy Pavilion, offers 14 attractions including four simulator experiences, two escape rooms and TopGolf Swing Suite utilizing state-of the-art tech and challenging virtual courses.

Make a big splash at the AquaPark featuring NCL’s first Tidal Wave waterslide, where guests can always catch the perfect wave. Smaller cruisers will have a blast in the Kids AquaPark and parents can lounge by the pool or soak in one of two infinity hot tubs and get drinks from the Waves Pool Bar on those coveted days at sea.

When traveling with kids and & teens, Norwegian Viva offers all of the popular programs with dedicated spaces including Guppies (6 months to 3 years), Splash Academy (3 to 12 years) and Entourage Teen Club (13 to 17 years).
