Royal Caribbean has provided an update on the status of the Caribbean cruise ports included on their ships itineraries. Currently, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Philipsburg, St. Maarten, Roseau, Dominica and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands are closed. Holland America Line’s Eurodam has broken the record by earning its 12th consecutive perfect score of 100 on the routine twice yearly health inspections conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This latest unannounced inspection was held Sept. 16, 2017, during a turnaround in Seattle at the start of a seven-day Alaska cruise. The perfect score follows soon after ms Zaandam’s June score of 100 on its USPH inspection. Carnival Corporation has officially launched a new digital steaming channel for guests onboard their cruise ships and globally for viewers via the steaming app OceanView. Original shows from Carnival Corporation’s OceanView channel are now available on major digital streaming platforms Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku. Carnival Corporation has announced an agreement to build a new, next-generation cruise ship for their Cunard brand. The yet to be named ship, featuring the iconic livery and red funnels, will be built by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri for delivery in 2022.
