A new cruise ship from Royal Caribbean, Spectrum of the Seas has commenced the first major construction milestone. At the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, Royal Caribbean International marked the official start of construction by cutting the first piece of steel for its new Quantum Ultra ship. With a launch date set for 2019, Spectrum of the Seas will be the next evolution of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-Class ships.
